Open Question: Should I see a doctor?
For the past year or so I've been thinking I that I have acid reflux, though I don't know much about it. I randomly toss up in the back of my mouth (gross, trust me I know) and it gets really bad sometimes. It started to happen more often and now it's an everyday thing. My stomach gets upset quite often. I usually take an alka seltzer for it but it never helps. The weird thing is when I do, I rarely even burp, even after taking that.
I think it might have to do with my diet. I'm a teenager, only 16. I drink a lot of soda and eat a lot of junk food..
If you have any idea why I'm having these problems or if you think they even have any significance, let me know. I don't want to have to make an appointment and it be nothing after every.

Open Question: Can alcohol relieve constipation?
I think it's safe to say that the obvious answer would be "NO" because alcohol dehydrates.
But here's the thing. I regularly eat a diet high in fiber, high in fruits and vegetables and plenty of water. I'm talking 16 glasses of water a day. But I am chronically constipated. I can't seem to form bulk in my stools. I will have movements, but they are tiny, disjointed, and not in significant amounts.
Here's where it gets weird though. In the past month I have allowed myself to binge drink for two separate celebrations. On these occasions I drank an amount of alcohol that was certainly dehydrating because the morning after both occasions I woke with a severe hangover BUT I woke up with a significant bowel movement. My stool was bulky, not disjointed and really healthy.
But in the past two months, these are the only times that I've had a healthy bowel movement. It's usually been the tiny non-bulky stools. Something about my alcohol binges have yielded healthy movements. I've thought it could be the carbonation from the beers, so I started to drink a bunch of carbonated water and nothing.
But the fact is, there is a definite correlation here. Maybe I am overhydrating in my normal diet (I drink ALOT of water) so perhaps the dehydration of alcohol is actually helpful for my movements. I don't know.

Open Question: What fruit juice should I use to cover the taste of vegetable juice?
I just got a juicer, and I've been juicing to my heart's content, and it's been a great way to receive the nutrients I need.
But I don't like non-sweet juices. I'll eat spinach every day but I can't bring myself to drink it. However, right now I'm on an every-liquid diet and would like to receive my veggies in. Veggies, being spinach, cucumbers, and carrots.
What would be a good compliment to spinach or cucumber juice? I only have typical fruits: blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, apples, and red grapes.
Any recipes you can suggest?

Open Question: I want to know if it's safe & how much weight I can loose with this?
I want to know how much weight I can loose in two months if I eat Special K in the morning, have a yogurt for a snack, eat a diet dish at lunch, eat a fruit for another snack, eat a salad (or something else, I'm not sure) for dinner, drink nothing but water every day, and exercise 3 times a week? I'm not even sure if that's healthy but that's why I'm on here. Is it okay for me to eat that? And how much weight is it possible for me to loose? I'm sixteen & I weigh 182 lbs (I know, embarrassing.) Although, I honestly don't look like I'm 180lbs. So my sisters & mom say. Apparently I'm big-boned and have a lot of thigh. Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it! :)

Open Question: i hate the taste of protein shakes, what can i do?
I've grown up to be a very picky eater but after high school i've been willing to try new things and i've been getting better. Note: I am not going to do diets on spicy foods, pills, vomiting, i don't eat pecans, peanuts, any nice of berrys, etc. I was thinking of starting the Tai slim diet. It's a smoothie wich you have to drink eat 2 times a day instead of eating, for example eat a healthy breakfest and for lunch and dinner drink the smoothie. It's very nutricious but anyways give me your opinion and please help me guys!! :(

Open Question: Please Help Me I Have Tried Everything Why Can't I lose weight?
I am way too short to weigh as much as I do (172 pounds). I am 20 years old and I rarely if ever take in more than 500 calories a day and I am at the gym somewhere between 2-3 hours a day working out really difficult, I eat right fruits, vegetables, lean meats every in tiny quantities throughout the day like 6 tiny meals. I am not getting added calories from what I’m drinking because every I ever drink is water. I go on 2-3 hour hikes at least two times a week (and by hikes I don’t mean nature walks, I am like scaling rocks) and I cannot lose a single pound! my physician says that well some people just average out at a weight they don’t like but there’s nothing you can do about it my nutritionist says I'm not eating enough but I've tried her way and every it does is make me gain weight, my GYN thinks is hormonal but wont refer me to an endocrinologist because I feel uncomfortable with her doing an exam (I was raped for 6 years of my life and the thought of it makes my skin crawl) I've had every my thyroid testing done everything has arrive back normal and I am sick and sleepy of people staring at me because I am so fat. I have tried everything imaginable and I am really not sure how much longer I can go on living like this my psychologist says its normal to have suicidal thoughts and it’s only natural for people to think about a way out. Some times when I look in the mirror every I want to do is clip every of the fat off of my body. every of my fat has gathered in my hips and look disgusting. Is there anything I haven't tried? Honestly I have tried more extreme measures in the past going through high school like this was not easy I tried purging and starvation and diet pills but none of that worked and as I got older I was like I have the power to handle this and tried to be adult about the situation by changing my eating and exercise habits I hate to say it but the only time I have ever been able to lose Weight is when I was purging and I am dangerously close to being there again, is there anything any one can think of so I don't have to do that again? Its a path that I never want to go down.

Open Question: Would you consider her anorexic?
My pal has struggled with anorexia in the past. She's spent 2 months (the summer between 7th and 8th grade) skipping every meal but dinner (which included barely eating anything but less than half of what was offered).
Then, a few months ago, she started with anorexia again. She counted calories obsessively and cried, pouted, or looked as if she were in pain every time she had to eat. It was pretty bad, and she did loose some weight. She's 5' 6 1/2" and, from what she said, 150 pounds. I looked up the BMI and that's in the 95th percentile (which means she's close to being over weight, the cause of her extreme need to diet).
She tells me how much she tries to binge/purge eat (bulimia) and how she tries so difficult to not eat at every. I know she skips lunch and breakfast, and tries to avoid dinner (but her mom often tries to make her eat, anyway).
Now a days, however, she says she's "lost her anorexia". I asked her to explain and she says she's lost her "mindset" for anorexia. She's having trouble dieting, which makes her depressed every the time.
So my question is, would she still be considered anorexic? She's eating (dinner, occasionally dessert, and drinking lots of water) but she's very upset about it. She says she's trying her hardest to go back to being anorexic or bulimic. I don't know what to do to help her, especially since she says she's not anorexic anymore and doesn't need help.
What do I do? What is she? Helpful things only, please!

Open Question: Will this diet make me lose 10 kilos in 10 weeks?
If I eat 800 calories a day and exercise for an hour - an hour and a half for 10 weeks will I lose 10 kilos? every I eat a day is yoghurt for breakfast, apple and banana for lunch, salad chicken rice and pumpkin for dinner. If I receive hungry during that I will have like 5 water crackers or a mandarin. I also drink 8 glasses of water a day. Am I going the right way about the diet? Will this diet achieve my goal? I weigh 60 kilos and am aiming to weigh 50 or 49.

I been training difficult for the past 5 months 6 days a week i started off at 130 lbs now im 170 but still dont seem so big. Im not fat whatsoever im kinda big but not like id expect but recently it seems like my muscles are getting smaller as well why is this? My diet ad snooze are great and i drink lots of water but i do alot of cardio could this.cause it too?

Open Question: Insomniac? I need help?
This started a couple months ago, though most of my life since I was about 11-12 years old I've slept tardy at about 3 or 5 in the morning. But lately I've gone whole days without snooze which is usually accompanied with hallucinations and double visuon during the day. As if everything was blurry and melting together?? I also went through this when i was about 13 years old, and most of the nights I spent awake I spent crying or trying to push my thoughts out of my head. When I try to snooze it feels like my mind is racing or a million thoughts are going through my head? Should I receive help or just wait it out??
Btw Im a 15 year old girl and I have a generally healthy diet except about a month ago I experimented with drug and smoking and a few weeks ago I drank alchohol so maybe that couldve affected me??

Open Question: How do i get fit the right way?
I'm 5'7, weigh 156 lb and I'm not fat. I'm somewhat in shape, people say I'm buff, but I want to receive ripped in about 3 months. I have a flat stomach, but I don't have abs, I have big muscles, but it could be toned a little bit more. My daily excercise: Mon-Wed-Fri: I bench about 70lb. I do 4 sets of 15 reps. I do dumbells, 20-25lb with 4 sets of 25 reps. I work out four to six different parts of the arms. And I do a few more arm excercises with machines, that work on my chest. Tues and Thurs: I do 4 sets of 15 leg lifts and 100-200 jack knife sit ups. Mon-Fri I run a mile everyday in about 10 minutes. And I do 100 sit ups and 100 crunches in the morning and night. So a total of 400.
Sat and Sun I relax. As for my diet, I pretty much eat protein. After I run, I drink 3 raw eggs. For breakfast I eat 3 scrambled eggs and I cup of beans. For lunch and dinner it depends but its still protein and the portion is not to big. I have whey protein and a protein shake twice a day. So is there any tips, is it to much, to little, anything to improve my performance. If I keep this up, will I receive the body I want??
I also snooze about 6-8 hrs a day and drink about 6-8 cups of water

Open Question: Can anyone make sense of this?
I have had a throbbing pain off and on in my calf. I am worried it could be a blood cot.
I also was eating dinner (rice and broccoli with cheese) and got nauseous half way through the meal and vomited. My temperature around that time was 101 even. I had a headache a bit before that, so I took some Excedrin Migraine about 5 min. before eating. Normally, that isn't an issue for me. My stomach wasn't exactly empty. About 20 min. before the Excedrin, I took my birth control pill.
My birth control is Lo Loestrin 1mg/10mg.
I'm worried that I could have Diabetes or Renal Failure. A while ago, the doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. Since then, I have gained about 50 pounds. My blood sugar seems to turn up pretty normal when I got blood work done though. And I'm working on the weight/emotional eating thing.
I've had a bit of pain in my left kidney, and I've been trying to drink more water.
I know the Diabetes and Renal Failure can be reversed with proper diet and daily exercise. If it is Renal Failure, it's in it's beginning stages, and can be reversed, if I act quickly.
Also, none of the doctors said anything about my creatinine being wonky...How long would it take diabetes to effect my kidneys? I had blood work done at the last week of April, and that supposedly was ok. I was a bit anemic (hemoglobin 9.4, hematocrit 34), but she did not mention anything else.
I think that's it. You can prob tell from the diabetes thing, I'm obese.
I just want to know if any of this is related to each other, and if I can fix it without seeing a doctor. I owe a lot to the hospital from my last stay and I can't really justify going back so soon.

Open Question: Hi everyone, hair fall thyroid, harmonal imblances, poor nutrition.. pls answer this?
I am 24 years old male.. my hair was in great texture and shine... It was very dense till the age of 21.
suddenly my hair started to fall.
Now my hair is very dull and dry. keep on falling. About 100 strands of hair fall is normal, but i am not losing 100 strands. However my hair dense on scalp keep on reducing.
Apart from every, it is very rough, dry, brittle and damaged.
what i noticed at the time my hair fall period start is that my palms and feet also became dry.
Is it harmonal imbalance? If it is so, how can i diagnose tht i have harmonal imbalance.
Later i took test for thyroid, my thyroid result is normal and i am taking nutritious diet.
I dont drink and smoke.. and even my genetics also good... my parents and descendant hair history is good.
Only thing i suffer is stress and depression... I know that stress and depression are the major cause of hair fall; but whether it make the hair dry and damaged..
pls share whats the reason for my hair fall. How can the hormonal imbalance may be diagnosed and cure?

Open Question: I can't seem to lose weight?
I'm 5ft 2 and 14 rock and can't help but hate myself . I have tryed so difficult to lose weight and right now i feel like tossing it every . I don't want to join any clubs or anything i just want to lose the weight by myself in the comfort of my possess home . I have been dieting since April and the only signicant weighloss i lost was 8 lbs that happened in the space of 2 days . I walk 30 mins a day drink water and have my 3 meals a day keepin them to a minium of 1200 calories a day . Since the second week of April my weight has stayed 14 rock and won't budge and i almost feel like crying at times because i do try . I have an occasion in 4 weeks and i thought by now i would look somewhat thin and not this big fat chubby thing that i am and i hate it . I hate being fat . WHAT should i do because i am so sick of feeling like this ?? i need advice???

-In 20weeks. In 20weeks time I'll be starting year 9 and I really want to wow everyone. I can probably do around 4hours of exercise until the 6weeks holiday in 8weeks,and then I can do allot more. Open Question: Day 1 of abstaining from alcohol. How can I cope with this?
I have been drinking for years (1-3 times a month) but the last several months I have been depressed and have been drinking excessively (4 days a week at night, 12+ beers). I am stopping effective today. I know people say not to cease icy turkey, but I don't want to drink again. I read alcohol withdrawal typically lasts 7-10 days and in some cases longer. Typically what can I expect, and when do I need to take the symptoms seriously (meaning they might warrant an ER visit) I don't have medical insurance so I can't seek a medical professional.
2 questions:
1) What can I do to prevent or reduce withdrawal symptoms (and their severity). I've read every sorts of things like drinking a lot of water/gatorade, exercise, good diet. Anything else?
2) I read that some people seizure but this typically happens 48 hours after the last drink. If I don't seizure, can I expect that I won't receive delirium tremens (I read this occurs 7-10 days after last drink)?
I guess I'm expecting the worse. I always do that and it's a bad way of thinking. I drink coffee and I was wondering if cutting that out would also help? I read that your blood pressure, heart rate, etc increase.
Any advice/suggestions/personal stories would be appreciated. I'm trying to stay positive but I just want to receive past this 7-10 days.
Also, how unlikely is it that someone dies from this? That is what freaks me out

Open Question: Excruciating Abdominal Pain?
For about 15 years I have had extremely painful stomach pains. I can remember curling up into a ball during preschool reading time hoping to receive rid of the pain, almost blacking out on the train ride home from high school, and many other occasions. On average It happens at least twice a month. Sometimes it happens twice a week. Sometimes it doesn't happen for 3-4 months. The pain is always exactly the same almost like needles stabbing my insides. I want to point out that its not necessarily pain in the stomach but rather the entire middle abdominal section and usually lasts between 1 - 4 hrs. It is also sometimes accompanied with nausea and I have vomited a few times.
I noticed lying on my side makes it worse for a short while before the pain just suddenly disappears. My dad told me it was just gas and yet I don't look how this is the case as when I try to relieve myself I feel worse. And its been happening my whole life which leads me to think I might have some nice of condition but I;m not sure. I am pretty fit and have been involved in sports my whole life. I have a decent diet, rarely drink sugary beverages, and have quick food at most once every one or two months. I like to think I have a very high pain tolerance. I've dislocated my shoulder twice, torn a ligament, broken 2 finger joints, broke my foot and ankle, and yet I would go through that every again if it meant I wouldn't have these fucking stomach pains anymore. Any advice is appreciated.

Open Question: Dieting, can someone judge my diet for the past 3 days, what I should or shouldn't do?
Okay so I have been eating way cleaner, I would say my eating is 70% better. I am currently eating almost no processed foods (almost). I am going to write down the foods I have eaten for the past 3 days of my diet. I just need to receive portion control down because I have my diet down so far I think. My current weight as of today 5/19/2012 is 162lbs. I am trying to eat more raw and diet this way and improve everyday for a month. I also keep a food journal at home.
I have been drinking from 8-12 glasses of water a day trying to go more than 8 cups everyday! I also take vitamins every morning.
vitamins: (1 of each) flax seed oil, collagen, b12, calcium, ginger root
Day 1-
breakfast: 2 pears, 1 peach
lunch 1pm-7pm: chicken noodle soup
Dinner: 1 wheat bread w/tuna seasoned with 1tsp balsamic, pepper, canye
smoothie= papaya, cucumber, peach, water
I stopped eating before 8:00pm
Day2-
breakfast: papaya
lunch from 1pm-7pm: California rolls sushi, Strawberry’s(big), mixed fruit salad(big)
Dinner: 5 peices mom’s Arabic food yogurt and lentils soup
done eating after 8:00pm but had a tardy night snack couldn’t snooze a banana
Day3-
Breakfast: 2lrg eggs, 1tsp olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, tomatoes, green pepper= omelet
fruit salad: 1 banana and papaya (big)
gym:311cal cardio 30min.
after workout: 4pc turkey bacon (low fat)
Lunch(1pm-7pm): 2apples, 1 pear, 1 big cucumber, 1tsp peanut butter
sushi roll/shrimp/salmon/tuna(raw)+ soy sauce
Dinner: 1/2 cup spaghetti, 3 meatballs before 8:15pm

I have to write a handout for English class ( I'm from Austria, bdw) and the teacher has no time to correct it in advance. I don't want to give a handout full of mistakes to my class mates, so could you please tell me the mistakes in the four texts below? thanks a lot!
Chips with Everything
Chips, crisps, potato watches – they are almost everywhere, eaten with almost every meal: potatoes. But have you ever asked where they came from? It every started in Peru, where they grew potatoes over 2,000 years ago, but they were smaller than today and tasted bitter. Spanish explorers discovered them in the 1550s and brought them to Spain. However, people did not really like them and they were mainly given to slaves and prisoners as they were quite cheap. They slowly made their way through Europe, but people kept thinking they were poisonous. But then supposedly King Louis of France, who loved potatoes, planted them in the royal gardens to make them seem valuable. His plan worked: the plants were stolen and became a popular part of French diet.
The chips were probably invented by the Belgians. In England they were first mentioned by the famous author Charles Dickens. In America they are called French fries because American soldiers tasted them first in France during World War I – nowadays the Americans eat over 20 million tonnes of chips a year.
The crisps were invented by a Native-American cook, whose customer kept demanding his fried potatoes sliced more and more thinly. The dish was an immediate success.
The Fortune Cookie
Fortune cookies are tiny sweet biscuits that are served at the end of a meal in a Chinese restaurant. Written on a piece of paper inside them is your fortune, for instance ‘You will write a book one day’. The Chinese people have always given each other sweet Moon Cakes on special occasions. When the Mongols occupied China, the Chinese used them as a way to send secret messages to each other. When many Chinese people went to America during the gold rush they kept putting messages of wish inside biscuits on celebrations. And as they settled in California and opened restaurants, they continued this tradition.
A Short History of the Pizza
The very origin of today’s pizza is in Greece where people first put various ingredients onto a flat round dough –cake and baked it over an open flame. This dish was called ‘pita’ which is also where the name ‘pizza’ comes from. The Etruscans brought it to Italy. It spread in Europe, but it was still a dish for needy people. When the tomatoes came to Europe people started putting them onto their pitas. Slowly the newly born pizza became a local specialty in Neapel. But then King Umberto and his wife Queen Margherita visited Neapel and wanted to try the new dish although it still stuck with the reputation of being a needy people’s meal. A cook put tomatoes, mozzarella and basil onto it – in order to reassemble the Italian flag – and named his creation ‘Margherita’. Apparently the queen was so enthusiastic about the result the pizza became acceptable for the nobility as well.
Coca Cola
Coca Cola was invented by an American pharmacist in order to cure diseases like impotence, headache and morphine addiction. He sold it to the business-man Candler who founded the Coca Cola Company and started an aggressive marketing plan making it one of the most popular drinks of America. Today, more than 1 billion drinks of Coca Cola are consumed per day.

Open Question: Having weird symptoms, possible causes?
About a month ago I started having these weird symptoms that I never had before. Im constantly thirsty and I feel like my thirst is never quenched no matter how much water I drink. I used to be able to just go to the bathroom a couple of times a day and urinate for a pretty long time. Now its like Im taking multiple trips to the bathroom and only going for a few seconds each time. I keep waking up in the middle of the night having to go to the bathroom, something I would rarely have to do. Also, I've always had 20/20 vision but now it seems to be kinda fuzzy and just not as clear as it used to be. And lastly, sometimes when Im sitting for a long time I can feel my heart start beating faster than usual which causes me to overheat and start sweating more than i ever did. Im a 20 year old male, very athletic and in very good shape and always had a good diet. I know I should probably look a doctor but wanted to check here first just to look if anyone had any ideas on possible causes.

Open Question: Starting point for eating healthier?
I'm an almost 18 year old guy.
I want to lose weight and starting next fall, It's quite possible that I'll be doing physical training every work day. I know that diet is an essential part of being healthy and losing weight.
I've been raised more on junk food and while there is healthy food in my home, I don't ever feel like eating it. I can put up with eating it, but I next receive an urge to eat healthy food like I do with junk food.
I've been told that changing eating lifestyles is a step-by-step process, not every at once.
So what are some good steps?
I already don't drink soda and do drink plenty of water.

Open Question: How do I lose the last bit of weight?
How to lose the last bit of weight? HELP PLEASE!?
Hi! I'm 19, 5 foot 2 and have recently lost 15 pounds, going from 10 rock to 8 rock 13 pounds. Ideally I'd like to be between 8 rock to 8 rock 7 pounds.
I have achieved this by eating more healthy, cutting out junk food and not eating due to boredom.
Here is the thing....I have booked a holiday for 7 weeks time, and the weight is becoming really difficult to shift. I would like to reach my target weight more than anything for my holiday, but I'm starting to receive very frustrated and feel like giving up at times.
I have been exercising 5 times a week for 30-60 minutes each time. I have been using a fitness DVD (Hannah Waterman) which includes interval training and strength training. Also, I've been going to various classes at the gym, such as spin, legs bums and tums and a cardio class.
Does anyone have any advice on exercises I should do? or change? or any foods that I should eliminate from my diet?
Here are some examples of food I have been eating on my diet:
- whole meal pitta with chicken, salad and extra light mayo
- low calories soups
- weight watchers ready meals
- low calorie yoghurt's
- porridge/special k
- prawns
- smoked salmon
- diet drinks only
- tins of tuna
- fruit and veg
I would really appreciate anyone's comments and advice, thank you for taking the time to read this!

Open Question: Does diet lemonade have caffiene init?
Its a cheap bottle from lidl, and i cant look caffiene in the ingredients?? This leads to my next question... i know drinking booze before bed will give you a bad nights snooze, but will a couple of diet lemonade and vodka be ok? I just wana chill with a couple of drinks, relax, then go to bed. Not receive drunk and wake up 3 hours later.

Open Question: Do I have an eating disorder?
I eat mainly cooked vegetables, a wholemeal slice of bread, cereal in semi skimmed milk, a few random snacks - this is now my diet. I always drink green tea though and no other beverage. I never eat anything greasy and I never eat out. However since last month 80% of the time I have thrown up what I ate. Maybe 1/3 comes out. I don't want to but I do. I feel better when I do, but I don't want eating issues. I know that I obviously have a problem but 90% of the time I don't want to look a doctor because I think I am fine - as long as I am hungry I am beautiful.
But right now, I am worried.

Open Question: How do you successfully stick to a calorie diet?
I'm getting married in a year and I need to lose 80 pounds. I had a rough last 4 years, my dad committed suicide, I had a health scare (not weight related) and then I got pregnant and had a beautiful baby boy and with that came extreme anxiety, in other words I'm a complete mess and let myself go.
I drink a lot of water, and try to stay away from drinking my calories but I need some ideas and tips for sticking to a calorie diet and feeling satisfied, especially since I want my fiance to do it with me and he has a big appetite. I have clip out deep fried foods, white flour, junk food, sugary drinks and I don't consume alcohol or sugary coffees or tea.
What are good snack options?
Easy meal ideas?
We have started walking everyday and I have started doing some cardio and weights, so I really am making a real effort, I really want this!

Open Question: body fat % loss: diet and cardio? also fasting?
hey so i want to reduce my BF% at least 7% from 19% to 12%. I dieted alone without exercise in the past and lost 57 lbs, but it didnt really reduce my BF% as much as i liked. i went from 217 down to 160. i was still at about 19% BF. i recently started weight lifting and bulked up to 184 lbs. i then started doing cardio as well and lowered my calorie intake and stayed away from sugars. im down to 178 lbs now. i guess my question really is will cardio reduce my BF% not just make me lose weight. and how much weight would i need to lose? do i need to lose weight to lower BF%? i was thinking of getting down to 170. and im 6'2" so this is relatively skinny. my goal is to gett a flatter/less flabby stomach. will cardio do the trick? also i was thinking about fasting 1 or 2 days a week. skipping everything except dinner (i might have a bowl of strawberries for breakfast though). also should i be drinking during the day? i tend to drink a lot. what do you think? thanks!

Open Question: Eating Healthy! Please Help!?
I’m 21 male about 220lb and feel like crap every the time. I have a bad eating habit. I want to start feeling better, and better about myself. I work at an Italian restaurant our food is free to eat. So I really just snack a lot on fat foods. I don’t really eat until I receive home around 10Pm and I eat fattening foods like pizza, hot dogs, chips, and other. Before I go to bed, I know I’m not supposed to do that but it’s the only time I feel hungry. I stopped drinking soda and I now drink tap water as much as possible. I live in st. Louis so our water is pretty clean.
I would like some help I’m not looking to go on a diet, and build muscle; I just want to receive my body healthy.
Please give me advice on what I can do to start eating better.

Open Question: How should a teenage girl diet?
I am 15, almost 16, and recently i have been feeling really uncomfortable with my body. I am an avid athlete, playing three sports continuously, but I got injured and had to sit out for a while. I drink a lot of soda, so would cutting down on that help? I am pretty tall (5'7 or 5'8) and 150ish pounds.

Open Question: Weight loss information?
I've been trying to diet for a while now, and nothings been working, ive tried alot of different things, but just recently i got really sick and had no apetite for about a week, i had only been drinking orange juice and soda and gatorade, and probably ate less then 2000 calories in a week, and i lost 17 pounds? I know this is not healthy, but could i continue to effectively lose weight this way by tremendously cutting down my calories but still making sure im getting the nutrients i need? I heard that drinking lots of water makes u lose weight, and im not a fan of water. so i was thinking of replacing water with coke(diet). they have the same calories. but is that ok? will i still lose weight if i drink 3 to 4 cans of cola a day?

Open Question: Darker yellow pee in the mornings..get better as I drink water. Should I be worried?
Hello, I was diagnosed with gastritis about a week and a half ago. I went back to the doctor about 4 days ago because my stomach started to hurt a little bit again. I been getting better since I started taking omeprazole since is what the doctor recommended me. About a week and a half ago I went to the bathroom and my pee was a little bit orange. I immediately went to the doctor and she said it was probably beacuse of the heavy drink I had before that. It really hasn't happend again. The doctor already did a urine test on me too look if i was flushing any protein and she sai that the test was perfectly fine and it was actually pretty easy to test.
So far I been keeping a soft diet for my stomach in order to recover from my gastritis and its been getting better. The only thing that concernsme is waking up evey morning and my urine is nice of dark yellow. It is more yellow than dark but it just usually happends in the mornings and gets better as I drink water.
Should I be concern and go back to the doctor.. or is this normal?

Open Question: Will one night of drinking ruin what I've worked very hard for?
I have been on the Jenny Craig diet for almost 8 weeks now. I have lost a total of 15 pounds. For those of you who don't know, on this program they weigh you every week. I haven't drank any alcohol so far while on the program. If I were to drink tonight(saturday), possibly a four loko or a few shots, would it ruin everything Ive done? My weigh in is on monday. I exercise regularly, at least 4 times a week I run at least 2 miles and I am always sticking to the diet schedule. Please let me know if it will change what the scale reads significantly? Thank you

I'm doing track next year and I want to be the best possible. I'll be in 9th grade and I'm very tiny for my age:/
Here's some general information:

And total body weight: 95 lbs
Next year is my freshman year and in track ( I have a full year to work out) they have Compression shorts and shirts issued to everyone, and that's their uniform.( Nike Pro Combat) And well... I don't want to look like a joke in front of the seniors and such, I really want to receive bigger in my biceps and chest, and thicken up my thighs ( I also want to intimidate competitors).
Aside from looks, I want to be just as good.
What workouts with increase my sprint speed, upper body strength, and leg strength (Long Jump, High Jump. Yeah even though I'm short I jump 5"1)
I need to increase quick twitch muscles, and improve hurdling form.
What nice of diet should I be eating? ( I'm really picky so instead of actually eating vegetables I drink things like: V8 vfusion, and Green Machine organic fruit and vegetable smoothie etc.)
Like what meat and how much
Nuts
Fruit?
beverages? (I know, ZERO soda, plenty of water, what else?)

*PS I want to play lacrosse in High school, SO I reaaaaally need to receive stronger faster and well...learn that. But am I too short to play?

Open Question: How Many Calories Should I Eat A Day To Build Muscle?
right i am 16 and i go to the gym work on my whole body.
i go to the gym 5 times a week and do cardio (jogging) 4 times a week.

i am on a diet currently where i eat whatever i want however, i cannot eat more than 2000 calories a day.
i play football atleast 3 times a week and the occasional rugby match.

i do not drink protein but i do eat alot of lean white meats such as turkey, chicken .etc. as i have heard it is better to eat protein than to drink it.
is this true? or should i drink protein shakes also?

Voting Question: What's wrong with my bird?
My budgie's personality has changed. This happened a while after recovering from being sick. Before he was sick, he was very social-able. Whenever he heard a human, he would start singing. And he would receive super excited when I got home. He'd start playing and dancing. Also, whenever he heard a bird outside, he'd chirp really noisy. Lastly, he wouldn't let anyone touch him; not even me. Now, he is the exact opposite. He only chirps sometimes when I say hi to him and he makes a suspicious noise after he drinks water. He never dances, doesn't play with his toys, that often, and usually sleeps most of the day. Oh yeah, and he lets me scratch his head. I don't usually feed him fruits or vegetables, because he always rejects it. My budgie is 4 years old. Should I change his diet and put only fruits and vegetables in his food bowl for one day? Or do you think he'll reject it and starve himself? Please respond, thanks. :)
